Andrew Disney

writer/director Crunch Time

Andrew Disney is a Texan, born and bred.  He grew up in Fort Worth, went on to attend New York University, and now resides in Los Angeles. In 2011 he directed his first feature film, SEARCHING FOR SONNY, a fun slacker-noir comedy with Jason Dohring, Minka Kelly, and Masi Oka.  In 2014, his college sport comedy BALLS OUT (formerly INTRAMURAL) premiered at Tribeca Film Festival and was sold to MGM and released by Orion Pictures. With a hilarious script from Bradley Jackson, BALLS OUT features an all-star comedy cast with Kate McKinnon, Beck Bennett, Jay Pharoah, Jake Lacy, and Nikki Reed.

Now Disney and Jackson have collaborated to create CRUNCH TIME, the new sci-fi comedy adventure series from Rooster Teeth. With a season of 6 half-hour episodes, CRUNCH TIME is a genre bending series about a group of misfit grad students who use advanced dream technology for petty, personal and profitable gain. Featuring an all star cast - Vine star Avery Monsen, Jessy Hodges (Hindsight), Nick Rutherford (Good Neighbor), Samm Levine (Freaks and Geeks), Kirk Johnson (Balls Out), Brent Morin (Undateable), and Michael Hyatt (The Wire) - CRUNCH TIME is set to premiere in September on Rooster Teeth’s subscription VOD service, “First”.
